SnapBridge

SnapBridge is an Android app that makes it easier to work with cameras from Nikon. The list of supported cameras is constantly being updated. For correct synchronization, you may need to update the camera firmware to the latest version. Bluetooth protocol is used as a communication channel, and the smartphone must use the protocol version 4.0 or higher. This requirement is due to the fact that data exchange is possible only if there is support for the Bluetooth Low Energy standard. After pairing, the user is able to fully control the device: setting all parameters (aperture mode, light sensitivity, shutter speed, flash and so on), launching a series of photos, setting shooting modes. One smartphone can be used to connect five cameras simultaneously.

Access to photos

The resulting photo can be immediately sent to the memory of the mobile device. The application has the ability to activate the automatic creation of a copy on an external cloud storage - the Nikon Image Space platform is used. To access the cloud, you must first register on the service to receive a Nikon ID.

Interface

Despite the large number of settings for the camera, the interface does not cause difficulties for inexperienced users. The layout of the tools is logical, the necessary options are quickly found. Superfluous elements and advertising blocks are absent, which facilitates work.

Disadvantages

The main limitation is that only devices with a Wi-Fi module are supported, since content transfer is carried out via this channel (only it can provide sufficient speed). There is also no possibility to upload files in AVI format (video).
