Moonbeam

Moonbeam is an Android application for listening to podcasts in English. It provides an opportunity to choose the most interesting and useful channels. Thanks to the use of the utility, you can listen to all kinds of audio shows using the player built into the application. When you subscribe, you will receive notifications about the appearance of new episodes of the podcasts you are interested in.

Personalization in the application

The utility provides an opportunity to create a personal profile using the accounts of Facebook ,  Google or email address. For greater personalization of the feed with the proposed topics of podcasts, it is required to make a choice of the three most preferred directions from those presented in the application. Among them are art, fitness, education, crime, humor, music, culture, family, history and many others. You can change the list of topics of interest at any time.

Listening to podcasts

The application has a built-in audio player for listening to selected podcasts. The player starts automatically. At any moment you can pause the playback if necessary. There is an option to select the speed of listening to recordings. You can turn off playback after a certain time, set in advance. This is possible thanks to the sleep timer. During use, the utility saves the entire history of previously played podcasts.

Application library

It is possible to create a personal library of necessary and interesting channels. Podcasts or just individual episodes can be added to it. If a user likes an episode, it is saved in a separate tab. The search is carried out according to the text query, sorting is done by individual categories.
