Nova Video

Nova Video is an open-source utility released for smartphones and tablets with Android operating system. It is a video player that allows you to watch movies, TV series, download video files from various devices in the local network.

How the library is organized

After installing and launching the program, all videos that are in the memory of the mobile device will be found automatically. Files can be sorted by name, creation date, duration and category. There is a function to create playlists (playlists).

How playback works

While watching a TV show or movie, you can select the audio track, full-screen playback is available. There is Audio Boost mode, which increases the volume level. There is a function to search for subtitles, descriptions and trailers for TV series and movies. The application supports popular formats: AVI, MKV, WMV, MP4 and others. You can enable hardware acceleration of clip decoding, which improves performance and comfort. Viewed clips are stored in a separate tab. Using the utility, you can explore the metadata of the file: the number of frames per second, size, date and time of creation. There is a function to add files to Favorites, the ability to create bookmarks and sort clips.
