Ad Aware

Ad Aware is an antivirus utility for the Windows platform. All the necessary modules are present to protect your PC from modern threats, including working in the background. Suspicious activity is tracked, network connections are checked, and an e-mail scanning module is built in.

Scanning

After the first launch, the utility will check the presence and, if necessary, download updates for antivirus databases. Next, the user will be prompted to perform a full system scan, it is recommended to immediately use this option. It is possible to scan individual directories or external drives. In the parameters, you can specify the scanning priority, which affects the consumption of hardware resources. After the scan is complete, a full report is issued, which includes the number of files scanned and threats detected. Treatment and removal are performed in automatic mode. There is a built-in scheduler module that allows you to create a scanning schedule. Individual files can be immediately added to the whitelist so that they are ignored during the scanning process. At any time you can open the list of quarantined files. This panel allows you to delete a file, cure it or restore it in case of a malfunction.

Protection module

A tool for monitoring network traffic is built in. It allows you to protect personal data from interception. Any suspicious activity of applications or processes is also recorded. This allows you to detect various adware and spyware modules. The next module provides parental control. You can track the sites you open and other activities. It is possible to block access to content of a certain type.
