MyDiskFix

MyDiskFix is a Windows application that allows you to find out detailed information about a USB flash drive or memory card. It is also possible to securely format the disk. All common memory cards are supported.

Purpose

Sellers, especially those working online, often use special schemes to fake the real volume of the drive. The reason is obvious - it greatly affects the final cost of the device, which justifies spending time on such manipulations. As a result, the user may encounter a situation when a file simply refuses to be written to the drive, although the data volume clearly does not exceed the stated volume. Upon detailed examination it may turn out that the real volume is several times smaller. This application and allows you to quickly find out the correct data.

Usage

Beforehand, you need to download another application - H2testw, which will allow you to determine the real number of physical sectors. Then you need to launch the MyDiskFix program and enter the obtained value in the special field. It should be taken into account that the utility requires administrator rights. At the next stage you need to select the low-level formatting mode and confirm the action by pressing the "START Format" button. It is important not to pull the device out of the connector during this operation - this can damage it and disrupt its functionality. After all actions are completed, correct volume information will be displayed with any method of verification.
