Microsoft Family Safety is an Android application designed to ensure the physical safety of your family and control your smartphone activity. A large number of settings allows you to limit the maximum time spent online and restrict access to certain resources and types of content.

Customization

To access the functionality, you need to log in with a valid Microsoft account. Next, you need to link a list of family members to the account, specifying their phone numbers or mail. This will give you access to access rights management.

Location control

The program provides an interactive map with the ability to track movements using a marker. It is worth considering that the monitored device must be able to send its coordinates. To do this, the corresponding module must be activated, and the program must have access rights to it. In the settings you can form frequently visited locations, for example, a school, a house, a playground, a circle. In this case, after approaching this point, a notification will be sent to the device.

Content filter

Quite a lot of settings and in terms of content settings, which is relevant today for young children. It is possible to limit the total usage time, allow only certain programs or activate full blocking. The option to filter unwanted content is available for the Edge browser (other browsers are not supported). A separate section with the necessary settings is available in the "Internet and Search" section.
