Poedit

Poedit is a Windows application for complete localization of programs. You can translate all available elements, including all menu items, buttons and tooltips. You can use machine translation or work in manual mode. It is possible to share your work with other translators. The function of automatic extraction of localization files from program distributions is supported.

File selection

After opening the program, you can start a new project or continue editing. To do this, you specify the path to the desired PO file. These files are used to store all interface elements that can be localized. This makes the work easier, as all elements can be accessed centrally for translation.

Translation

It supports working with multiple files to provide support for different languages. You can speed up the process by using a machine translation service, after which you will only have to check and correct inaccuracies. This scheme can be used to localize plugins and themes for various CMS, including WordPress, and Twig templates are supported. The history of translations is stored in the program, which allows you to automatically suggest variants for frequently used words. This greatly simplifies work, as many elements are often repeated. It is worth taking into account that the application is paid. In the basic version some functions are blocked, for full access you need to purchase and activate a license code.
