WinImage

WinImage is a Windows application for editing disk images without unpacking. You can also create images, view their structures and internal files.

Image creation

After opening the program, you can specify a disk to create an image, which you want to save to a local directory. This mode is used if you need to clone a disk or create a backup. All types of optical disks are supported. The internal structure of the file system is fully preserved during operation. There are tools for disk maintenance - cleaning, checking after recording and others. It is possible to reduce the data writing speed at the setup stage. This allows you to reduce the probability of errors. For important documents, it is additionally recommended to activate the check of all files after writing. This will also help to avoid their loss in the future.

Editing

In the editing mode you can open different types of images, including ISO, IMG and MDF. You can add, delete and move objects as you would with a regular folder. There is a batch mode for working with images, which allows you to perform the same type of operations with a set of files. A function of sorting files by various parameters, including date of change, size, and name, is built in. A separate panel allows you to customize the display mode - grid or table.
