WinDjView

The WinDjView utility is a Windows application that can be used to open and read electronic documents in the DJVU format. This format was developed to store scanned paper texts that contain many illustrations, formulas, graphs and other data that cannot be recognized. Each page has several layers, including a text layer, so you can search for individual words and phrases.

Opening files for reading

After launching the program, you need to specify the path to the document to be opened. The application saves the list of previously opened files and displays it in the main menu. It is possible to find out additional information about the document, for example, the size and number of pages.

Viewing documents

The program allows you to select the appropriate page scale or use the function of automatic adjustment of the sheet size to the display diagonal. Navigation is performed using the arrows on the toolbar. In addition, you can quickly jump to the chapter you are looking for by selecting it in the "Contents" section. Users have the opportunity to bookmark, which helps to quickly find the desired place in the text, select and copy text fragments, as well as search for individual words and phrases.
