Project64

The Project64 application for Windows is used as an emulator for the Nintendo 64 console. It is open source. You do not need to install any additional plug-ins to run the games.

Using the program

Before you start the game, you need to unpack the image using WinRAR or 7-Zip. Next, you need to open the utility, go to the "File" menu and select the "Open Game" option. To complete the emulation, you need to click on the corresponding button in the same section of the menu. All games are automatically saved and shown in the main window of the application. To add several images simultaneously, you need to specify the path to the directory with the files using the main menu.

Emulator customization

The program provides the ability to expand the game to full screen, change sound and graphics settings. Gamepad control is available. The emulator can be run in multiplayer mode with up to four controllers connected at once. The user can set in the "Options" section keyboard shortcuts to control the utility, as well as secret codes. To customize the games, you need to go to the Config tab. There you can set the parameters for running the emulator and connect third-party plug-ins for sound output and graphics display. The program allows you to change the aspect ratio and display resolution. These actions can be performed both before and during the game.
